According to Tyre Stewardship Australia, Australians generate the equivalent of approximately 180,000 used passenger tyres every day — and recovery rates are not keeping pace. When tyres aren’t recovered, they may end up in landfill, be illegally dumped, or stockpiled on industrial and remote sites.
Unlike materials such as glass or plastic, rubber can’t simply be melted down and reformed. It must be repurposed into new, durable products.
A1 Rubber plays an important role in giving end-of-life tyres a second life — transforming them into high-performance rubber underlays, wetpour impact-absorbing surfaces, playground safety surfacing, fitness flooring, and resilient flooring.
